District 7 ChampionshipThe 2010 7th Annual District Seven PGA Challenge Matches will be held from Monday April 5th - Wednesday April 7th at Ledgestone Country Club and Branson Creek Golf Club in Branson, MO. Monday is for practice rounds and registration - Tuesday and Wednesday are tournament rounds. This year participation/entry is different than what has been done in the past. Let me explain:
As a member this letter is extending an "open" invitation if you would like to participate in the tournament. The first twelve - 2 man teams (6 in the regular division plus 6 in the senior division) ;preference given to the players on the 2009 POY list from their respective Sections; that send in their PAID entries by February 10th, 2010 will be entered. If not enough players have committed from the point list then we will accept teams by order of entry. This change allows players to choose their partner for the first day and can help offset travel expenses. The goal is for each Section to be represented by their top players so send your entry in as soon as you can. Your entry fee will be returned if the top 12 players fill your Sections team.
Format for the tournament:
Day one: Best ball with six 2-man teams from each division.
Day two: Individual stroke play with 12 senior and 12 regular division players.
Team scores will be a combination of best ball and individual scores for a winning two-day team total:
We will also have a shootout for all participants and a horse race for those that qualify the first day. Prizes (includes money and prizes) exceed $12,600.
