What: South Central PGA Junior Interclub is a unique opportunity for boys & girls ages 12-18 to participate on a team from their club and compete against other area clubs in both an individual and a team format. The program is structured to provide a fun experience for all skill levels allowing players to participate in a team atmosphere similar to other youth sports for their age range.
Division Format: Teams will be divided into geographic divisions with no more than five teams per division.
Team Structure: Each competing team will consist of five players. Teams may have additional players that may be allowed to compete individually but do not count towards the team score. The ideal team size would be six to eight players to account for scheduling conflicts by players. Players may only participate on one team within their club.
Matches & Points: Points will be awarded for each regular season event with the highest individual score receiving one point and one additional point being added to each higher place until all places have been awarded points. Team scores will consist of the point total of the five participating players.
Example: 4 teams participating, 20 total players. 20th place receives 1 point, 19th receives 2 points, ect. 1st place in this example would receive 20 points. The team score would be the five players points added together.
Scoring: Scores will be updated on the South Central PGA website as they are received. It is the responsibility of the host club to report match results to the section for updating.
Section Championship: Each division winning team along with the two highest individual finishers not on the winning team will qualify for the Section Championship to be held at a Stillwater CC on August 8.
