Junior Interclub

What is South Central PGA Junior Interclub:  South Central PGA Junior Interclub is a unique opportunity for boys & girls ages 12-18 to participate on a team from their club and compete against other area clubs in both an individual and a team format.  The program is structured to provide a fun experience for all skill levels allowing players to participate in a team atmosphere similar to other youth sports for their age range.

Division Format:  Teams will be divided into geographic divisions with no more than five teams per division.  Each team within the division will host one match during the regular season.

Team Structure:  Each competing team will consist of five players.  Teams may have additional players that are allowed to compete individually but do not count towards the team score.  The ideal team size would be six players to account for scheduling conflicts by players.
Matches & Points:  Points will be awarded for each regular season event with the highest individual score receiving one point and one additional point being added to each higher place until all places have been awarded points.  Team scores will consist of the point total of the best four participating team players.
Example:  4 teams participating, 20 total players.  20th place receives 1 point, 19th receives 2 points, ect.  1st place in this example would receive 20 points.  The team score would be the best four players points added together.
Scoring:  Scores will be updated on the South Central PGA website weekly.  It is the responsibility of the winning team to report match results and scores to the section for updating.
Section Championship:  Each division winning team along with the next highest non qualifying individuals will qualify for the Section Championship to be held at a centrally located facility.  Section Championship team scoring will consist of the best four out of the five team members.  The low individual will also be recognized at the Section Championship.  PING will provide tee gifts to all players at The Section Championship along with awards for the two two teams and to two individuals.
